This print is taken from the Spiral Series of drawings which reference imploding stars. Each drawing is made up of an accumulation of hundreds of spirals and is intuitively hand-drawn over several weeks using varying sized pens to create an intensely layered form. The form appears to resonate and/or confuse the eye, much like staring at the sky at night and supports my recent body of 3D sculptural work exploring clusters, scapes and fine-structural forms that hover in space.

Big Bang is one of a series of spiral drawings which reference imploding stars. Each drawing is made up of an accumulation of hundreds of spirals and is intuitively hand-drawn over several weeks using varying sized pens to create an intensely layered form. The form appears to resonate and/or confuse the eye, much like staring at the sky at night and supports my recent body of 3D sculptural work exploring clusters, scapes and fine-structural forms that hover in space.

This print is taken from the original drawing Squirl Cluster, which has been drawn intuitively using a method of repetition to create an intense cluster loosely based on typographical squirls. Each doodle connects to the next, passing through a variety of colours and forming one continuous line that is explosive and weaves the length and depth of the paper.

As if the product of a very long telephone conversation, these drawings record a subconscious repetitive flowing thought.
