This print is based on the Sparkler series of drawings which emit explosive colour, referencing the ephemeral flash point of pyrotechnic explosions. The outward resonating lines allude to the break down of explosive matter as the moment dissipates.

This Spiral Void print is taken from the Spiral Series of drawings which reference imploding stars. Each drawing is made up of an accumulation of hundreds of spirals and is intuitively hand-drawn over several weeks using varying sized pens to create an intensely layered form. The form appears to resonate and/or confuse the eye, much like staring at the sky at night and supports my recent body of 3D sculptural work exploring clusters, scapes and fine-structural forms that hover in space.

This print is taken from the original drawing Squirl Cluster, which has been drawn intuitively using a method of repetition to create an intense cluster loosely based on typographical squirls. Each doodle connects to the next, passing through a variety of colours and forming one continuous line that is explosive and weaves the length and depth of the paper.

Doodlemass is an unlimited series of freeform 3-dimensional doodle drawings on paper - each evolving from the total consumption of ink from one pen. As if the product of a very long telephone conversation, these drawings record a subconscious repetitive flowing thought. Each doodle is transformed from a worthless scribble, destined for the dustbin, into an integral component of a bigger picture. Each drawing involves a methodical sequence:
1. Select a doodle (no pre-conceived ideas)
2. Start anywhere on the page
3. Repeat
4. Continue until pen runs out

There are other worlds is a series of ten photographs exploring mysterious and ethereal landscapes to which the origin and scale remain vague. Forms inhabit these spaces and provide movement to the image by either hovering or skimming through the frame, casting distorted shadows on the colourful saturated surfaces below.
Using photography as a way of classifying the physical existence of such landscapes, There are other worlds is photographed in ‘real time’ in opposition to our knowledge of what is now achieved through computer imagery.
