Bubble Chasm exists as an integral part of a sweeping architectural curve.
As the eye follows round the curved wall from the side elevation, the first glimpse of surface disturbance arises in the form of small blistering domes. A few steps more and it becomes evident that this vertical plane is transformed into a two-way stretch of materials, changing the perception of its surface from inanimate into organic – rigid into fluid.
The fine face of the curve fractures into bulbous distortions, which are mapped by a multiple-cell structure reminiscent of liquid bubbles.
Bubble Chasm is an archi-sculptural mutation - the blunt mass of surface converges with a core in flux.
