Sequence:
1. Select a doodle
(no pre-conceived ideas)
2. Start anywhere on the page
3. Repeat
4. Continue until pen runs out

The twist - using negative obsessive tendencies in a positive non-obsessional way. Making attention to detail ‘work for me and not against me’ by giving up to an external force or control, i.e. the life of the pen’s ink.
“Extensive doodling is like going into a zone – it was enjoyable but equally agonising. At times playing safe and finishing the drawing at certain points throughout it’s development seemed a good option, but I stuck to the Doodle Rules and allowed the drawings to evolve organically, not knowing the end point. This was a way of freeing up, discovering new boundaries and not being in total control of the drawing's destiny.”
